stopPluginScanning

AppModel::stopPluginScanning(): cancels a scan in progress and waits for its worker to finish, running queued main-thread tasks meanwhile. Call on the main thread before tearing down anything the scan's completion callbacks reach; cleanupAppModel does it as a last resort.
